This is a cute little store sitting right above Coco Veranda and Buddhi Batiks on Ward Place. It’s filled with brightly coloured beach shorts and slippers from Arugam Bay. They also have a pretty funky collection of men’s shirts, some lovely evening dresses and long flowy ‘hippy pants’ for those summer beach parties.
For a new shirt or dress, you might want to check this place out – they’ve got some creative designs, some even absurd. Some of the clothes are designed by Gihan Ediriweera and Upeksha, if these names mean anything to you.
The beach shorts and skinnies are nice, however every piece of clothing has a rather prominent Arugam Bay logo on it though, which I personally prefer not to wear. But if you’re not too fussed about the logo you may be going home a proud owner of a colourful pair of brand new Arugam Bay shorts.
They’ve also got a huge range of footwear and slippers too. For less than Rs. 1000, it’s a good place to purchase colourful flip flops.
There was a 50% discount on almost everything when I went in – t-shirts and shorts that were usually about Rs. 1500 were selling for 750 rupees. It might still be on, have a look.
