Image from their Facebook page (edited)We’re excited to report that O! (Machang, Floor By O!, the late Brewery By O!) is opening a new pub in Mount Lavinia. They’re replacing the old Golden Mile, which was an institution, but lame. They’re calling it Shore By O! and you don’t have to wear shoes (bonus). They also said we could bring the dog if he stays outside.
Shore seems to be completely redoing the Golden Mile property (at the end of College Avenue, Mount Lavinia), which is long overdue. They’re devising a menu, whatever whatever, but we’re pretty sure they’ll have cheap beer so we’re in. They should be opening in 3 weeks (after CHOGM, so around the 22nd), but don’t take that as an official date, at all. That’s just our best guess based on a informal conversation.
Either way, keep your eyes out, and watch their Facebook page. We don’t get new bars/pubs that often.
While we were discussing this, we also thought of some other possible ventures O! could get into:
- Pore By O! – a salon
- Roar By O! – bar in the new zoo
- Score By O! – a sports bar
- Gore By O! – bullfighting and tapas bar
And we thought of another one that might fit in the new casino district, but somewhat unprintable. Let us know if you can think of any more.
