If you’re looking for high quality designer menswear, Crocodile is definitely the place you should visit, but remember, high quality comes at a price.
Clothing
The Polo rangeCrocodile offers the entire spectrum of men’s clothing needs, whether it be casual T-shirts, formal wear, ties or undies, with quite a decent (and funky) range of colours on offer. If you’ve got dough to dish out, Crocodile’s range of products will most likely satisfy your needs. Their polo T-shirts have prices ranging from Rs. 2000 all the way up to Rs. 10,000. They explained the massive difference in price range is due to the the treatment the materials undergo. Having a feel of the T-shirts I could tell the difference, with the more expensive shirts feeling much lighter and having almost a silk-like texture, even though they were cotton. They have formal wear ranging from Rs. 4000 to Rs. 10,000 as well, with similar reasons for price differences, depending on where the material was imported from (Bangkok, Singapore, etc).
Shoes & Accessories
They have their own proprietary range of shoes as well. While we once again appreciated the high quality, we would like to see a wider selection and more up to date designs. Besides their range of clothing and shoes, Crocodile also offers accessories like sunglasses, watches and cufflinks. The sunglasses and watches while not disappointing, were not up to the same high standard as their clothing range, but it should cater to most needs.
Ambience & Service
We liked the look of the showroom overall. Not too big, but not too small that they had to cram shelves next to each other. The mostly white interior works well as it offsets the colourful polo T-shirts in a way that it draws your attention right to it.
We were very impressed with the level of service at Crocodile. The staff was pleasant, attentive and highly knowledgeable, not just to us but to all the customers that walked through their doors. You can ask them pretty much anything regarding the products on offer and they’ll provide you with all the relevant information, and trust me I tested them.
Conclusion
The Crocodile store is not for everyone, but if you’re looking for designer menswear made from high quality materials and you’re willing to spend the extra cash, then it definitely won’t disappoint. In the future though, we’d like to see more affordable options for average joes like us.
