Leather Collection is one of the only spots in Colombo to buy high quality leather products. They aren’t really cheap but they’ve got stuff you don’t generally find at other places.
Variety
You’re not gonna find much clothing here, but they’ve got a great selection of shoes, slippers and leather jackets for men and for the Ladies they’ve got a massive selection of heels and hand bags with some faux snake leather as well stuff as well.
The shoes are priced between Rs. 6000 up to around Rs. 9000, which is pricey but you know you’re not getting cheated on quality. We would have liked to see less ‘boattufied’ (pointy) styles though.
This is one of the few places in Colombo that you can actually get your hands on a decent selection of leather jackets, which are priced upwards of Rs. 18000. If your jaw dropped when you heard the price, pick it back up ’cause it’s actually not too bad all things considered.
Oh and we really need to bring these slippers back!
They’ve got pretty great selection of hand bags and satchels as well. The price is actually not too bad either starting at around Rs. 5000.
Conclusion
Quality leather products are a bit of a luxury and rarity here, but Leather Collection is looking to make it less so. Compared to what we’re used to paying they are pricey but this isn’t the usual stuff and you know it’ll last you a while.
