Halloween is on the morrow and there are a bunch of parties and events happening in and around Colombo. So if you’re trying to figure out where to get your freak on, here are a few events to check out. This isn’t everything happening in Colombo, so if we’ve missed anything good, let everyone know in the comments section.
Bloody Pub Crawl

Right. In keeping with the spookiest night of the year, the people at Colombo City Hostel are hosting the Bloody Pub Crawl. Dress up as your favourite TV or movie character. Also it’s the Fanny not-leaving party (we have no idea who that is, and yay for you Fanny, many thumbs up).
There will be free booze in the bus and one free pint at every pub. You will meet new people and if you’re slow at making new friends, half way into the pub crawl and with many pints down, chummy-ness will be guaranteed.

The RnR Halloween Costume Party

Get your Halloween costume on and head over to the party at RnR. With DJ music, food, selection of cocktails and other alcoholic beverages. Get in your best Halloween costume and head over to the party at racecourse.
Halloween in The Heavens

Location: OZO Colombo Rooftop, 36-38, Clifford Place, Colombo 04
OZO is having their own Halloween party at their rooftop bar ON14. They’ve got a bunch of cool offers like buy one get one free on cocktails and an overnight stay at OZO for the spookiest costume. As long as the rain doesn’t ruin everything, this should be pretty awesome given the location.
Halloween Weekend Season 3
Price: Rs. 1500 (Gents), Ladies walk in free
Location: La Fiesta, 62/4 , Chatham Street, Colombo 1
It’s no surprise that KISS FM is getting in with the Halloween action with the 3rd season of their Halloween Weekend. They’ve got a bunch of DJs including Brian, Sushan and Hiranya along with La Fiestsa’s resident band.
Do You Dare? Halloween Party
Price: Rs. 1000 (Gents), Ladies walk in free
Location: No.2, ETF Car Park, Navam Mawatha, Colombo 02
The Rotaractors are Halloween-ing for a good cause. The event takes place at the abandoned ETF warehouse. Spooky. The party is for a good cause. They will be raising funds for the National Cancer Institute in Maharagama. Ladies you can walk in free while the guys need to cough up the dough. There will be prizes given away for the best costume, so better don on your very creative and spookiest halloween costume.

Fright Night: A Special Screening Of ‘Dracula Untold’
Location: Majestic City, Majestic Cineplex 3D, Colombo 04
Of all the days to watch a freaky movie, Lite 87 is hosting an exclusive screening of the movie Dracula Untold on Halloween from 10 PM at the Majestic City Platinum Theatre.
Dracula Untold. Luke Evans (Fast & Furious 6, Immortals) stars in Dracula Untold, the origin story of the man who became Dracula. The invitee-only Halloween-themed screening will include themed music, food, décor, competitions and special, spooky surprises for all guests.
Tip: The only way to attend is through an invite. The only way to get an invite is to tune in to Lite 87 and be part of the ‘Like and Share’ competition on Facebook.
Halloween Carnival At Barnesbury

If you’ve got kids and you’re looking for a family friendly Halloween outing, Barnesbury’s Halloween Carnival is just the thing for you. They’ve got a whole bunch fun things lined up including, ghoulish crafts, cupcake decorating, Halloween buffet and even a bungee run.
