Stepping into Royal Biriyani & BBQ is one of the best decisions we made this week. Their biriyani is now one of our favourites in the city, and if you ever find yourself here, don't forget to pair it up with some BBQ – these guys do some good ones!
Kaffeine By RE.PUB.LK
Kaffeine is a secret hideaway in the middle of Colombo Fort. Seriously, it will make you feel like you've travelled to a different world, because that soothing vibe coupled with their super gorgeous ambience isn't something that you'd find outside of its doors.
Their food is fantastic, and they know how to brew a good cup of coffee. Maybe this could be your getaway this weekend if you're not going out of town.
Fuel'd Cafe & Health Bar
On the healthy side of things, we have the Fuel'd Cafe and Health Bar at Zimantra Leisure Center in Battaramulla. Aside from many delicious healthy treats, they've got some great options if you're taking a break from calorie counting – like the Fully Loaded Omelette that comes with chicken, mushroom, sausages, pol sambol and bacon.
PappaRich (Nawala)
The Malaysian fare that Papparich whips up has never failed to surprise us. Out of the arsenal of exciting Malaysian dishes they've got, we highly recommend the Curry Laksa and the Beef Nasi Lemak.
Mong Kok Chinese (One Galle Face)
Mong Kok at One Galle Face does some good Chinese food, with a nice authentic touch. We absolutely enjoyed their Beef Ho Fun, and the Deep Fried Tofu with Chinese 7 spice was pretty great too. Also, make sure you kickstart your meal here with this Steam Prawn Dumplings. They're superb!
