Angel Beach; A Sprinkle Of Bali In Unawatuna.

*This post is brought to you by Angel Beach Hotel, Unawatuna.

Did you know, that there’s a little Bali in Sri Lanka?

Lured by the promise of palm-dotted beaches, playful waves, coral reefs, gorgeous sunsets, hipster cafes and vibrant nightlife, Unawatuna is not just another town in Down South; it’s an experience itself. Thousands of tourists -both local and foreign flock towards this paradisical destination every year, to explore and savour its moments, views and everything else.

And the Angel Beach, the funky boutique hotel down Dalawalla Beach in Unawatuna is where you’d find the little Bali in Sri Lanka

From the outside, you probably might not notice anything out of the ordinary. Sure, the yellow-hued brick wall is super attractive and adds a nice vintage look to it, but beyond that, is where the actual magic lies.

“”Serving good vibes”” is their sole intention and everything they offer lives up to it beautifully. Whether it be lazing around on the perfectly sun-kissed Dalawalla Beach, taking a dip in a gorgeous outdoor pool, feasting on a scrumptious meal, sipping on a tropical punch or dancing all night to the island’s best beats, Angel Beach is actually the first of its kind and a family day beach club. Therefore, fun is guaranteed, no matter what your age is.

Featuring a delectable array of dishes cooked from an industry-standard kitchen, the food at Angel Beach is infused with a good dose of Southern love, and includes a variety of beautifully presented plant-based options, fresh seafood, lots of sharing dishes and also, wood fire pizza! They’ve got food to fit every mood, from breakfast through dinner, and to kick it up a notch, pair them up with a refreshing cocktail which they craft up with a very unique Sri Lankan touch, or perhaps a healthy smoothie, or a lemonade.

The Signature Angel Style Chilli Crab is a dance of flavours that has the finest of our spices and the fat, meaty crab, and they’re known for their Pepper-coated Australian Beef Steak too, which is served with Buttered vegetables, Mashed potato and some excellent Red wine sauce.

Angel Beach also highlights themselves for their take on the Authentic Sri Lankan Lamprais, a unification of spicy, sweet and meaty flavours wrapped in a banana leaf. Do not forget about their Tuna Steak too, which is raved to be the best in town.

Angel Beach has claimed a very private beachfront location on the pristine and Instagram famous Dalawella Beach, which is also one of the best beaches to spot turtles in Sri Lanka. Plus, it won’t let you miss the spectacular sunsets.

11 well-appointed, luxury rooms of different categories await to comfort you at Angel Beach. Their suite comes with a bathtub where you can enjoy a bubble bath while catching a glimpse of the turquoise waters of the Indian ocean. You can easily book their rooftop for private parties and such.

Facing the shallow pool of Angel Beach lies the pool bar, where you can sip on a boozy cocktail, to cool you down, in tropical style!

You’re more than welcome to join their happening events during weekdays and weekends. With Rosé Sundays, BBQ Buffets (pre-booking required) and live acoustic music, it’s probably what our dream getaways are made of. Visit their official site for more information and updates.
