Glitteray is an online jewellery store that sells a select range of silver jewellery. You get necklaces, pendants, earrings and rings. The selection is limited (the earrings section has only three pairs) but the pieces are thoughtfully designed. It’s quite expensive, however, with items averaging around Rs. 4,500.
We ordered the silver knuckle ring, which is made of three slim bands studded with tiny zircons. It was nice, if a bit pricey at Rs. 4,500. All the rings are very weddingsy – elegant silver bands adorned with white gems. There’s also a blue sapphire ring for Rs. 110,000 which resembles Kate Middleton’s engagement ring – a large blue sapphire encircled by diamonds.
The selection of earrings is small with just three pairs to choose from. There’s a bit more variation in terms of gems here than with the rings, with blue topaz, citrine and peridot on offer.
What I like most about Glitteray is the website, which is great. It’s very easy to use, well designed and the photographs of the pieces convey what you’re going to get pretty accurately.
I particularly liked the sizing guide they included for rings. It includes a cut out you can use to measure your finger. Very handy if you don’t know what your size is.
Glitteray is a nice place to buy a gift, especially if you don’t feel like trawling through shops. Their delivery service is efficient and quick and you can get what you need without having to leave your house.
