The Wraps
They've got an interesting menu that includes a whole bunch of meaty wraps and a few veg-based items.
Our Pulled Chicken Wrap (Rs. 750) was fabulous. There were lots and lots of chicken dressed in Harissa sauce, and well chopped up lettuce, cabbage, tomato and onions. The overall flavour landed on the spicy side, with a bit of tang. So good!
Light and not at all doughy, everything was tucked in together very neatly inside the pita.
They do some superb lamb kofta, which you'd find inside this Grilled Lamb Kofta Wrap (Rs. 1050). Juicy and seasoned to perfection, they had just the right touch from the grill.
However, the veggies tended to overpower the meatiness of the wrap in some instances, but all in all, it was good.
Their Hummus (Rs. 500) made us quite happy. Beautifully creamy and rich with olive oil, it paired well with the fluffy pita bread.
Conclusion
Island Wraps is a wonderful addition to the cloud kitchen scene in Colombo. They whip up some really good stuff, and it's value for money too. Definitely something you should check out.
