The Coffee Manor.

The latest coffeehouse in the city, The Coffee Manor specialises in some filling, comfort food, delicious drinks to soothe you up, and many interesting desserts, offered with a good dose of cosiness.

Food

The Coffee Manor has an extensive food menu featuring waffles (sweet & savoury), bagels, croissants, classic toasts, sandwiches, burgers and pasta.

The Smoked Salmon, Avocado & Eggs On Toast (Rs. 1800) arrived with a side of sauteed button mushroom, baked beans and butter.

Every element here was well-executed. We got the brown bread (white bread is available too), lightly toasted, and topped off with fresh slices of peppered up avocado, high quality smoked salmon and two poached eggs. The eggs had beautifully golden yolk oozing out, even at the slightest poke of a butter knife. It went well with the buttery, lemony hollandaise sauce.
This hearty plate of Chilli Prawn Pasta (Rs. 1350) is well named. You can get it with penne or spaghetti, and we opted for the former.

It's a rich, cream-based sauce, infused with lots and lots of chilli flakes, contributing to the spicy factor. Amplifying that, there were a handful of chopped up red chillies.

We found about 10/12 chubby, juicy, chewy prawns, soaking up all that flavour, along with the somewhat overcooked penne. To be honest, we weren't really bothered by the overcooked part, as the flavours were spot on.
The Blueberry Muffin (Rs. 450) was a super fluffy, spongy, airy fella, with bits of blueberry embedded in its texture. All it needs is a cup of coffee on the side.

Drinks

Drinks-wise, The Coffee Manor does coffee, tea, virgin mojitos, ice-blended drinks, and bottled juices.

The Cappuccino (Rs. 500, for 12oz) didn't disappoint. It had a thick crown of foam, followed by fluffy milk, enriched with a strong coffee note.

The Hot Chocolate (Rs. 500, for 16oz) had a rich flavour. Quite chocolaty, quite warm, and just the right amount of sweetness, with a little bit of foam on top.

Ambience & Service

I have seen this place many times, but still can't seem to recall what was here before. If you do remember it, please let us know in the comments.

The interior has bits and bobs of the bygone era, which they've blended well with the contemporary, trendy elements. The wall décor includes a bunch of vintage pictures, while the seating arrangement varies from stools to dining chairs to couches.

There's this wonderful cosiness filling the whole room, which will comfort you and put you at ease.

The service is quick and helpful. You place the order from the counter, grab a tent, sit at your table and the food will be brought to you within about 15 minutes.

Conclusion

Slightly expensive, yet a great cafe option for your next coffee date or lunch/dinner out. Plus, it's quite work-friendly too.
