This North American-European fusion sweet roll has been a delicacy around the world for years! And it has made its way to our little island, Sri Lanka.
We were given the pleasure of tasting cinnamon rolls from a unique bakery that specializes in Cinnamon rolls.
The team at Roll with it sent us a box of 6 cinnamon rolls with 6 different classic and premium toppings: Cream cheese, Classic, CinnaCrunch, Chocolate Ganache, Salted caramel and tiramisu and we couldn’t wait to dig in.
First of all, the cinnamon rolls came in packaging that kept the cinnamon rolls secure while allowing you to get a sneak peek at what is inside.
1. Cream cheese
As a cream cheese lover, this was the first cinnamon roll I dug into. The cream cheese flavour blended so well with the taste of the fresh cinnamon rolls. This was probably my favourite! But hey, I am a biased cream cheese lover- wait till you hear about the next few flavours of cinnamon rolls.
2. Classic
You can never make a mistake by choosing classics. Roll with it ensured that whilst including their creativity and uniqueness to their brand and their flavours, they master THE classic cinnamon roll! This cinnamon roll was yummy in its own simplicity and perfect with a cup of hot chocolate or tea.
3. CinnaCrunch
This cinnamon roll stood out for its ‘crunchy’ topping. The fresh, crispy cinnamon roll and the topping with caramelized nuts and icing sugar blended together perfectly and were definitely one of my favourite toppings so far.
4. Chocolate ganache
This one is perfect for all chocolate lovers. What I enjoyed most about this cinnamon roll was its balance of flavour. The chocolate element of the cinnamon roll did not overpower the authentic cinnamon taste of this delicacy as you would expect in most delicacies, rather, it did justice by balancing the chocolate and cinnamon flavours.
5. Salted caramel
The salted caramel didn’t let me down either. This cinnamon roll was one of the more subtle but lovely flavours.
6. Tiramisu
If you love Tiramisu & coffee, you will absolutely LOVE the Tiramisu flavoured cinnamon roll. This flavoured cinnamon roll was one of the more rich & fillings cinnamon rolls in the box. The coffee-flavoured icing was creamy and silky and even though I am not a huge fan of coffee, I still found it delicious.
I would highly recommend ‘Roll with it’ for their cinnamon rolls when you are sharing special moments with your family with a cup of tea or when you are craving something sweet and delicious. What I admire the most about their cinnamon rolls is that there is a topping for everyone, for those with a sweet tooth – the CinnaCrunch & Cream cheese would do, for those who like less sugar in their food- classic would do and as mentioned above- Chocolate Ganache would be perfect for chocoholics and the Tiramisu for coffee lovers.
