We visited one of those fancy fast food joints, serving the most promising burgers and fries in Colombo. They opened in 2016, moving around a roller coaster to understand the right market that Takeout could cater to best and built a western concept with a touch of Sri Lankan hospitality.
The man behind this incredible hungry spot, M. A. Rahman, took us on an exploration journey to share their excellence and capability in serving an experience at Takeout Lanka, while we indulged in a fantastic menu we enjoyed.
You can immerse yourself in a range of spicy levels that are shown in their menu. Choose from mild to extra spicy in your burgers, served hot and just right!
The Ambiance
Takeout Lanka serves Classic American food, conjoining the touch of flavors and vibrance brought by the aroma, look and feel of the place. The interior is completed with carefully selected colors that embed a cozy dine-in experience, both indoors and outdoors.
1. Chick Got Fried
We never hesitated to start the mains from their Chef Specials. The Chick Got Fried originally lays out a soft meaty chicken with the perfect spice of typical American fried chicken crumbs, crunched in every bite. The burger was assembled with a dollop of cheesiness, mayonnaise, and the fried chicken assembled to fall in love with every bite.

2. Chicken Burger with Cheese
A perfect chicken meat patty, tender and well-seasoned was indulged between fresh-cut burger bread. The cheese was destined to melt while you enjoy the taste of the entire burger itself. The dressings were assembled while preserving the medium spice we requested to get a glimpse of the whole meal perfectly.

3. Beef Burger with Cheese
Takeout has a fantastic meat chef who knows to curate lean beef, soft and easy to bite, especially in a burger. You could try extra spicy if you love to enjoy the juicy meat, rarely served in a mini Americal food joint in Colombo. The cheese was perfectly melted to ensemble the meat’s flavor while you eat without a hassle.

4. Oreo Fantasy
If you are a chocoholic, you could try their Oh-reo shake, giving out a nice blended texture of Oreo and Chocolate Ice cream. It was a delicious choice to slurp through the hot meals on a hot day.

5. Velvet & Strawberry Shake
Apart from us being basic chocoholics, we wanted to check out another unique addition in their beverage menu. The velvet and strawberry shake presented a typical velvet cake and strawberry puree blend. The sweetness was at its peak, yet vibrantly tasted. You can request to adjust the sweetness according to your taste preferences.

Conclusion
Not to forget, we were served a mildly salted basket of fries, spiced to perfection assorted with a melted cheesy dip. We wrap up this review with an excellent satisfaction rating amazing recommendation for hospitable customer service and memorable meals.
