Shake it up with ‘Grind On The Go’ – review.

‘Coffee is a liquid hug for your brain’ is a true statement, but what can you say when you can have an iced coffee or a chocolatey milkshake on a hot day, in today’s context, inundated with power cuts? Iced coffee on a hot day is like a tight reassuring squeeze telling you that ‘everything is going to be alright’.

That is what the iced coffee at Grind On the Go did for us.

The lockdown as a result on the Covid -19 pandemic gave enterprising entrepreneurs a lot of business ideas and that’s what it did for Aadil Fowzie.

“I established Grind on the Go in June 2020 while I had some free time due to the recent pandemic which resulted in lockdown. Initially I had just two products, iced coffee and chocolate biscuit pudding. Then, I started the business on my personal Instagram page but soon realized that I have always liked business as a subject whilst in school. So, I thought ‘why not use that knowledge to start my own business” and I did with the help of my family.
We serve six beverages now and one dessert. We plan on introducing a few more beverages this year. That is something we are working on right now. All our beverages stay fresh for 2 days only and the main reason for that is, we have not added any preservatives. That is why we function on a pre-order basis, so that we can make it fresh on the day our customer requests it. I do it part time as I am in my second semester at university right now”.

Grind On The Go sent us six beverages and here is what we have to say about it.

1. Strong Strength Iced coffee

A strong strength iced coffee is a perfect way to energize during the heatwave. You need not have to queue up in your local supermarket or local coffee shop to get this chilly fix, instead just place your order at Grind On The Go and they will deliver it at the time you need it the most. We loved the strong strength iced coffee; it was made to the strength that we have our coffee to give us the needed boost for the day. It tasted very rich, creamy and arrived in the cutest of bottles.

2. Medium strength iced coffee

It is an ideal beverage for those who like their coffee light. We enjoyed the slight coffee kick with its light and creamy texture.

3. Nutella Frappuccino

For all those ‘Die Hard’ Nutella fans, this is for you. It is chocolatey, creamy and sweet assuring us that everything will be alright. We just loved the Nutella Frappuccino! It was our favorite. Try it, Nutella Frappuccino will not disappoint you! this is your perfect dose of deliciousness for the day!

4. Almond Haven

We were pleasantly surprised as how tasty it is. Actually, it reminded us of walking home after school holding a melted icy choc on a warm and sunny day! Having said that, Almond Haven notched it up a bit by the tiny bits of finely chopped almonds in the drink!

Minimum order quantity for the Almond Haven coffee is 2 bottles.

5. Biscoff Blast

It is a creamy milkshake infused with chocolate ice cream and milk, garnished with a dash of chocolate syrup. This cool beverage contains zero artificial colors or preservatives. Don’t forget to shake your Biscoff Blast bottle before you open it up, or else you will find all its awesomeness right at the bottom! Now we would not want that would we?

6. Milo Latte

Yum, yum! It tasted like coffee, milo, milk and chocolate with the right amount of sweetness. We were so sad when we slurped the last drop off the bottle, sadly, all good things must come to an end! But we were comforted by the cool thought that it actually it doesn’t have to, Milo Latte is just a phone call away, we can place an order and satisfy all our beverage cravings!

Conclusion

The team on Grind On The Go, have given much thought, care and attention to detail in producing these delicious thirst quenching beverages! Nutella Frappuccino was our favorite and the Strong Strength Iced coffee came in as a close second. Being conscious of the environment, all the beverages at Grind On The Go come in glass bottles that are re-usable.
