Baked with Love – Meet 9 of Sri Lanka’s sweetest home bakers.

There’s something undeniably magical about home-bakes that café and bakery chains just cannot get right. Maybe it’s the smell of gooey brownies fresh out of the oven, or the first bite of a cookie made with a whole lotta love. In Sri Lanka, a new wave of home-based bakers are turning their passion for sugar, spice and everything nice into full-blown dessert empires – right from their cozy kitchens.

Whether you’re stress-snacking before finals, sending something over for your bestie’s birthday or just in the mood to treat yourself (because, girl, you deserve it), these homegrown bakers have got your back (and your wallet) with yummy treats.

Okay – we get it. Our lankans are just too talented and it’s difficult to fit it all in one article. But, we’ve handpicked a few growing home-based baking businesses from a million in the local baking scene in a range of categories.
