Not so long ago we wrote a rather negative review of Roots, lamenting the poor service we’d experienced. But as mentioned in the review, Roots occasionally managed to pour us a decent drink despite their disappointing service.
So it was with cautious expectations that we visited the Kohuwala Roots. But here, we’re happy to say, the service is good and the juices, superb. The little glass cube jutting out of Tisara Plaza is clean and nice; the staff don’t stand around gormlessly and they can serve up a swift and delicious cold strawberry juice (Rs. 220).
We’ve had poor impressions of Roots in the past, but ultimately they can give you a pretty good drink. The quality of service may differ according to branch – we’re inclined to think the ODEL outlet is the worst – but there are many, many Roots scattered around the city. The one nearest to you may be just fine.
