Looking to grab a bite at a spot that offers a wide variety of local and international cuisine; all in one place? These food courts are perfect for a casual hangout with friends or family, and a few of them even stay open past midnight.

1. Fusion Food Court

Location: No.09, Galle Road, Dehiwala

Open hours: 12PM – 1AM

Cuisines: A true fusion experience combining Sri Lankan, Middle Eastern, and international dishes.

Popular stalls include:  Baharat Cuisine, Chin Scoops, Dates & Desserts and more…

Facilities: Spacious and clean outdoor seating, parking is available nearby.

Rates: Most meals are mid-range, usually between Rs. 800 – Rs. 2,500 depending on the stall and dish.

2. Bamba Food Square

Location: Galle Road, Bambalapitiya

Open hours: 11:30AM – 1:30AM

Cuisines: A combination of street cuisine, including fried rice, grills, shawarmas, Sri Lankan kottu, and snacks. 

Some of the stalls include: POT Biriyani, M Burger, and Sticks & Co, each serving signature dishes with generous portions.

Facilities: Music, lively neon décor, semi-indoor and outdoor areas, and a relaxed hangout atmosphere. Parking is available nearby.

Rates: Most of the dishes cost between Rs. 600 and Rs. 1,500.

3. Food Studio

Location: Colombo City Centre Mall

Open hours: 10AM – 10PM

Cuisines: Japanese sushi, Indian biryani, Thai curries, Indonesian nasi goreng, Sri Lankan specialties, sizzling plates, and a large variety of international dishes.

Stalls include: SMOOCH, Piccadilly parlour, Indian Affair, Shiok and more…

Facilities: Air-conditioned, modern open-layout seating, mall parking, and free Wi-Fi in the mall.

Rates: Premium dishes like sushi can cost up to Rs. 2,000+, while other dishes vary from Rs. 1,200 to Rs. 2,000.

4. Crescat Boulevard Food Court

Location: Crescat Boulevard Mall, Kollupitiya

Open hours: 9AM – 10PM

Cuisines: A blend of local and international fast food from dumplings to donuts and chai

Stalls include: Holy Dumpling, Tea Kade, OH Donuts and more…

Facilities: Mall parking lot, a convenient food court on the basement level, cozy seating, and easy access from Galle Road.

Rates: Most of the meals are reasonably priced, ranging from Rs. 500 to Rs. 1,500.

5. WELLA Food Court – Wellawatte

Location: 494A Galle Road, Wellawatte

Open hours: 6PM – 11PM

Cuisines: A casual, street-style mix of Sri Lankan, Indian, and international bites. Offers everything from spicy curries and idly sets to coffee, desserts, and ice cream.

Some of the stalls include: Ape Coffee, Aayaa Kade Idly, and Akinra Ice Cream, with a variety of local snack counters and juice bars.

Facilities: Open-air and semi-indoor seating, extended opening hours till late night, easy access from Galle Road, and a lively local atmosphere. Limited parking available nearby.

Rates: Depending on the stall and quantity size, most of the food and drinks cost between Rs. 300 and Rs. 1,800.

6. WorldSpice – Kandy City Centre

Location: Top Floor, Kandy City Centre Mall, Kandy.

Open hours: 10AM – 9:30PM

Cuisines: A variety of international dishes, such as Indian tandoori, Thai noodles, Chinese stir-fries, Italian pasta, and Sri Lankan curries.

Facilities: Large dining areas and an advanced card-based ordering system (use a single card to place orders at several stalls and pay when you leave). mall parking and air conditioning.

Rates: Typically, meals cost between Rs. 700 and Rs. 1,500. The price of high-end international cuisine might reach Rs. 2,000.

7. Layards Wharf by Food Studio

Location: Havelock City Mall, 3rd Floor, 324-10 Havelock Rd, Colombo 00500

Open hours: Every day from 10AM – 10PM

Friday & Sunday, 10AM – 11PM

Cuisines: A multi-cuisine food court style venue offering East Asian, Mediterranean, South Asian, grill and patisserie.

Their croissants are a must try!

Facilities: Large seating for families and gatherings, cashless payment methods by card or QR code, and vegetarian and vegan-friendly options are also available. The food court maintains a clean and stylish ambience.

Rates: Usually, it costs between LKR 1000 – 3000. According to a YouTube review, Pizza costs about LKR 2,950; Prawn Wonton costs LKR 2,200; and Prawn Egg Fried Rice costs LKR 2,950. (prices may change)

8. Havelock City Mall

Location: 324-10 Havelock Rd, Colombo 00500

Open hours: 10AM – 10PM

Cuisines: offers popular fast-food outlets like Burger King, KFC, Subway, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and Fish & Co for quick meals, along with cozy cafés such as Coffee Connection, Klassy Café, The English Cake Company, and Delifrance.

For those who prefer a sit-down meal, there are casual dining restaurants serving Chinese, Italian, Arabic, Sri Lankan, and Japanese dishes. One of the main spots is the multi-cuisine Layards Wharf by Food Studio on the 3rd floor, offering Mediterranean, Indian, East Asian, and grill-style food.

Facilities: The mall provides modern facilities including clean seating areas, air conditioning, restrooms, parking, and easy accessibility, making it a comfortable and family-friendly place to dine, relax, and enjoy a variety of global and local cuisines under one roof.

Rates: A typical meal will cost between LKR 600 and LKR 1,500; however more expensive casual dining or multi-cuisine spots may cost LKR 2,000 to LKR 3,000 or more per person.
