Barista Reaches 100 Outlets, Bringing World-Class Coffee Experience Closer Across Sri Lanka.

Barista Coffee Lanka marked a significant milestone in its journey on 31 August 2026 with the grand opening of its 100th outlet, Barista Baseline, further strengthening the brand’s presence across the country. With 100 outlets now operating across 19 districts, the milestone represents an important step in Barista’s continued growth and its vision of making a world-class coffee experience accessible across Sri Lanka, for both local customers and international visitors travelling through the island.

The milestone opening was held with the participation of the Board of Directors of Barista Coffee Lanka, franchise owners, customers, media, influencers and members of the Barista team, bringing together many of the people who have contributed to the brand’s journey over the years. More than simply marking the opening of another outlet, the occasion celebrated the collective effort, resilience and belief that have taken Barista from its early beginnings to a network reaching communities, cities and key destinations across 19 districts.

Commenting on the milestone, Dilupa Pathirana, Chief Executive Officer of Barista Coffee Lanka, said, “Reaching 100 outlets is a proud and deeply meaningful moment for everyone at Barista. This journey has been built by the people behind every counter, our teams who open our doors each day, our franchise partners who believed in our vision and, most importantly, our customers who have made Barista part of their everyday lives. Our vision has always been to create an environment where no one in Sri Lanka has to settle for less than a world-class coffee experience. Today, with 100 outlets across 19 districts, we are taking that experience closer not only to Sri Lankans, but also to travelers from around the world who visit and explore our country. While we celebrate this milestone, we see it as the beginning of the next chapter of our journey.

The road to 100 has been shaped by both growth and resilience. Over the years, Barista has navigated periods of uncertainty that affected businesses and communities across Sri Lanka. From quieter streets and temporary closures to changing lifestyles and economic challenges, the journey was not without difficult moments. However, supported by its employees, franchise partners, stakeholders and customers, the brand continued to move forward and expand its presence.

As everyday routines returned, Barista outlets once again became spaces for morning coffees, business meetings, conversations between friends and moments of relaxation. At the same time, the brand continued to expand into new cities, towns and destinations, making the Barista experience increasingly accessible to people travelling throughout Sri Lanka. This growing footprint also enables international visitors to experience a familiar, world-class café environment while exploring the country. Whether travelling through major cities, cultural destinations, hill-country locations or coastal areas, visitors can enjoy the same Barista experience alongside local customers, further strengthening Sri Lanka’s evolving hospitality offering.

For Barista, reaching 100 outlets is therefore about far more than a number. Every outlet represents the people behind the counter, the teams supporting daily operations, the partners who have joined the journey and the customers who continue to walk through its doors.

With 100 outlets across 19 districts and counting, Barista Coffee Lanka now enters its next chapter with a continued focus on expanding accessibility, strengthening customer experience and Brewing Happiness for Sri Lankans and visitors from around the world, one cup at a time.
