Colombo-based rock band Dotdotay will launch their debut album Lankhikabhimane on Saturday, January 10, 2026, with a live performance at RiseUp Colombo (No. 45, Alwis Place, Colombo) from 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Formed in 2019, Dotdotay is a four-piece band known for creating original music rooted in the Sri Lankan experience. Their songs explore themes of identity, youth, and social realities in a post-war, post-crisis Sri Lanka. With a sound described as both authentic and locally grounded, the band aims to bridge grassroots experimental music and commercial appeal.
The album Lankhikabhimane—which loosely translates to “Patriotic Love”—is described by the band as a musical tribute to contemporary Sri Lankan life, reflecting the complexities and resilience of its people.
The launch event will feature:
- A 3-hour headline performance by Dotdotay, featuring original music only
- Opening act: ‘Track da?’, a Sinhala improv comedy show
- Food, beer, and beverage stalls
- Live flash stick-and-poke tattoo session using original ink
- Merchandise table with Dotdotay t-shirts, stickers, and physical copies of the album
- A full live recording of the show, to be released later on YouTube
The band invites fans and supporters of local music to join in celebrating the release of Lankhikabhimane and experience a night of creativity, expression, and community.
