Cinnamon Red Colombo’s top tier fine dining Flavored restaurant has introduced an incredible range of Arabic cuisine from the 16th March, 2023.
We were invited to taste a palate of traditional Arabic flavors, prepared by the talented chefs of Cinnamon Red.
This course menu consisted of a decadent set of Appetizer, Main course and a uniquely elegant dessert.
The appetizer is a cultural platter arranged with slices of pita bread, garlic bread, our top favorite which was the hummus garnished with extra virgin olive oil and some fresh tabbouleh.
The flavors promised a subtle, yet a perfectly long lasting palate, until you try out their main course.
In accompaniment of this appetizer, the platter is also served with a bowl of Lamb soup. Tender, flavorful and curried – as a person who does not really eat lamb, this dish changed my mind and got me enjoying the soup with splendor.
We tried the soup with their freshly baked bread stick and also with their garlic bread served in the appetizer platter. Just a touché to the first part of this dining experience.
The main meal was a feast of traditional Lebanese Chicken Kabsa. The decadence of their grilled chicken meat, tenderized to perfection was in full flame and fame. Just for the main meal, this 4 – course menu is a must try when you visit Flavored at Cinnamon Red, Colombo!
As a side dish, we were also served an eccentric tomato puréed curry, sautéed with bell pepper, potatoes and tomatoes in prime.
The Vegetable Saloona was an exquisite addition to the Chicken Kabsa. If you are a vegetarian, this is a go-to addition to add to the Lebanese rice served as an option. (You can ask the server for this option.) Recommending as an amazing alternative, because why not!
To end the fabulous 4 – course Arabia menu, we were served the Chef’s special Umm ali. The unique incorporation of pastry and a phenomenal touch of milky texture of the desert brought out a blossom of sweetness, but in the Arabic way.
Overall, the menu did justice to the Arabic palate and the cultural acquaintance of the oasis of flavors at Cinnamon Red.
