Bean bags are da bomb. We should put them everywhere, really. Sure, you can’t really do any work while you sit in one, and you find yourself sinking in helplessly or inadvertently curling up into a ball, but that’s exactly the point. Typically, bean bags in stores seem to be strictly in the Rs. 6000+ range, whereas you can get a Small one here for as low as Rs. 4500, and the Large ones are for around Rs. 7K. We were told their stuff is 40% off the market prices, and that they give you a one-year warranty that other sellers don’t.
They’ve got a small range of bean bag seats if you don’t want a classic squishy one, like the king chair (basically a big beanie chair that allows you to sit and function as opposed to getting sucked into the beanhole), long recliners, cubes and cones. They also do bean bag pillows and beds. You can get them in suede, cotton, leather or waterproof material. The good thing is you can get yourself a custom bean bag done in whatever shape or colour, like the ridiculous face-planting Minion in the picture above.

BeanBag has a website with their whole range, with a pretty straightforward pick-and-order theme. If you feel like seeing (and sitting) for yourself, you can drop by their headquarters in Wellawatte. It’s somebody’s house, where the beanbags are strewn across the veranda, and they don’t always have everything on the catalogue there, so best to call first and check if they have what you have in mind. If you’re satisfied with the quality of their stuff, they also deliver to your doorstep – no delivery charge.
