Food
Aside from seafood, they have a couple of Indian-style meat-inclusive dishes, such as biriyani, and a range of Chinese-style treats. Given that seafood is their speciality, we decided to stick to just that. They're offered as set menus, as well as customisable platters. We opted for the former.
This is their take on Singaporean Chilli Crab, which arrives with a side salad, white rice and sauce. There were three, batter-fried crabs drizzled with a sweet and sour sauce, the helping of rice was plenty for one, while the salad had crunchy veggies dressed in a zesty sauce. For Rs. 1300, we'd say that it's a solid deal.
However, it would've been better if the crab was done as a stir-fry, like the proper Singaporean Chilli Crab. The crab itself had a good amount of meat in them, and the sauce was tasty. 
The Fish & Chips (Rs. 1300) included five fillets of fish encased in a crispy batter, a side salad, French fries, yellow rice, more sweet & sour sauce and spicy tartar sauce. Again, for the said price, it's a good offering.
There was a nice golden hue on the batter, while the fish was thoroughly cooked. However, the fish they've used here seemed to have a tad tough texture and not the soft, almost creamy texture that we'd normally anticipate.
As for the yellow rice, it was basically rice infused with some turmeric.
The Hot Butter Calamari (Rs. 650) featured a light, spicy batter coating, which didn't hold back the seafood-y goodness of the fresh calamari from emerging through.
Conclusion
Based on what we experienced during our First Look, it's safe to say that Calamari Colombo is an affordable option for your seafood cravings. There is room for improvement, of course, but we're glad to have encountered a seafood-dedicated cloud kitchen in the city. They offer generous portions, and the pricing is absolutely fair. We are already excited about our full review!
