Cinnamon Lakeside has made an exotic appearance at the main lounge, serving a range of afternoon tea delicacies.
Surrounded by symphonies and a limited seating reservation, Cinnamon Lakeside’s high tea is a feast to savor. The buffet is arranged from every Friday to Sunday, between 3.30 pm – 5.30 pm.
Here is what you need to know about what’s unique about Lakeside’s high tea buffet. Firstly, it’s worth the price! The variety is at large and you can dine your way through.
The buffet consists of a generous quantity of finger food savories, scrumptious desserts and a healthy range of non-alcoholic drinks, tea and coffee. The variety favors vegetarians, non-vegetarians and vegans too.
Uniquely, they provide a sandwich station, similar to the subway concept, where you can guide the chef to prepare the sandwich you’ll like. You won’t be judged!
Make a note to try out their waffle board. In contrast to a normal breakfast buffet, this high tea encourages guests to enjoy an evening waffle range from the waffle counter, whether it be savory or sweet.
The setting of the buffet venue is constructed spaciously, allowing the guests to freely serve their delicacies. We enjoyed a tremendous amount of savory, which was enjoyed by many!
We loved the donut board which was not only feasting for the eyes, but also deliciously soft, creamy and were of freshness!

There were basic, yet savories that are usually enjoyed by the locals. The menu is very less complicated, Sri Lankan friendly and induced flavor.
The dessert bar served a variety of Sri Lankan, American and continental desserts, including the waffle station. The beautiful part about this buffet, is that you make your choice while grazing through the buffet in your own time space and comfortable seating privacy amongst the lounge setting.
Overall, we recommend trying out the buffet High Tea at Cinnamon Lakeside above the usual private platter. The variety is at large and worth the price. While magnifying a central view of Colombo, if you get a seat beside the lake, the buffet does justice with its promised delivery of quality, taste and ambiance.
