We tried a Dark Temptations brownie (with strawberries) recently and it’s quite decadent. Rich and chocolatey brownie with strawberries drowning in a dark chocolate frosting.
They do a range of chocolatey stuff, mostly brownies for party type situations, but also cupcakes, etc.
The Sweets
You can see the full range and prices Dark Temptations offers on the Facebook Menu. We tried the Big ‘O’ (Rs. 2,000 for small, 4,000 for large). We tried what we think was a large, which could comfortably feed 20 people (our guess).
It was very good. The brownie is moist and gooey and the strawberries are verdantly perched on a thick layer of chocolate frosting. Very chocolatey, very decadent.
If you look at their other options, it’s all basically chocolate. We appreciate someone sticking to what they know and doing it well. There’s the classic brownie (Rs. 900 small, 1,800 large), Oreo brownies (Rs. 1,000/2,000), strawberries and cream brownie (2,000/4,000), chocolate biscuit pudding, Snickers brownie , Ferrero Rocher, etc.
All chocolate, all tempting.
The Service
We actually didn’t order ourselves, instead trying this brownie at a party. The cook comes highly recommended and is supposed to be quite good to deal with. It’s a home baker so it’s not like there’s layers of bureaucracy between you and your sweets.

A worthy and chocolate heavy addition to our reviews of Colombo home bakers. Very tasty and indulgent sweets, mainly brownies.
