MichaelAngelo Pizzeria located in the heart of Nugegoda offers a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes for you to choose from, with the unique self-service style carried out throughout the restaurant you are able to experience something different in comparison to most restaurants. We visited the restaurant on a Thursday evening where we dined to our hearts content.
Ambience
From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were given a warm welcome and seated surrounded by great music and a lit up space that really set the mood.
Mains
We started the night off with the Hot Butter Cuttlefish pizza (1950LKR) that really had our taste buds singing in bliss, the cuttlefish gave a great punch of flavour and spices albeit a bit salty it was a great combination with the thin crust pizza. Alongside the pizza we were also provided with a bowl of spices such as: oregano, chilli flakes which could be added onto your pizza to suit your taste.
Afterwards, alongside with some water to cleanse our palettes, we moved on to taste the Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli (1600LKR) which is a great option for anyone keeping an eye out for any vegetarian options. What makes this dish great is that you can have a sauce of your choice embedded into the ravioli.
Dessert
In regards to dessert we indulged in their Tiramisu (850LKR) and Brownies (550LKR), the Tiramisu was soft but held its shape, each bite kept having what you want for more especially if you are a coffee lover. The Brownies were chocolate heaven but my expectations were not fully satisfied as some ice cream on the side would have been nice.
Conclusion
MichaelAngelo Pizzeria is a must visit proving to satisfy most of our Italian cravings. Providing a cozy open space lit up beautifully especially during the holiday season where customers can take their time and dine in peacefully.
