Nils store is a cool place devoted to women’s wear. The place itself is not that voguish looking from outside but the clothes will surprise you. When I entered their store it was one of those “”aha”” moments, it’s a quality and affordable place for regular shopping.
The Place
This Nils shop is hidden away down High Level Road, and there’s no name board visible from the road. If your traveling by bus get down from Nugegoda junction after the flyover and walk towards Maharagama side. It’s on the left hand side.
The Stuff
Their collection is swanky and tries to keep up with the current trends. The prices start from Rs. 350 (there’s a sale going on now) and the maximum would come to about Rs. 6,000. Their evening wear selection is Rs. 1,500+ though doesn’t offer much of a choice. Casual wear starts from Rs. 950 and offers a decent variety. There’s also a selection of office wear.
The bling (jewellery) is not that bad of a collection but not extensive. The cheapest would come to about Rs. 495.
There’s also a collection of belts and slippers.
The Paintings
The paintings at Nils store are cute and creative.
They also have a selection of Lord Buddha paintings.
Conclusion
They have a satisfactory collection of dresses and casual wear. The clothes are made in their own factory and the prices are reasonable. Make an effort and dig through the stuff, you will be surprised by what you find.
