Love… Some say Valentine’s is just another day. I used to think the same until I found the one who melts my heart every time, I look into her eyes, every time she holds my hand, every time she says that she loves me. I think everyone deserves “the one”, and everyone should appreciate their love every day and days like Valentine’s give us a chance to appreciate our significant other, a little more.
A girl once told me that she won’t get married unless she feels like she can’t live without the man she loves. A few months later, she tells me she is ready for marriage because she is convinced, she can’t live without the person she loves. Gladly, I am that lucky guy.
With all this in mind, I have decided to create a special menu for the Valentine’s Day for all the love birds to be amazed and fall in love all over again when they walk into The Avenue, to celebrate.
You will me mesmerized as you come into The Avenue with the fairy lights in our backyard, romantic live music and our welcoming staff will make you feel as if you are in the Cupid’s den.
Trees at the backyard purifies the sea breeze to make you feel brand new while the mist coming through the leaves clam you down. Smile of the captain will make you feel home while you and your “the one” can sip-in our special cocktail the “Sparkling love bug”, with a splash of lemon, lime, sparkling water and cranberries to clear your palate and open your tastes buds. Trust me, this will leave you with the eagerness to kiss your partner, even before the Starters.
Speaking of starters Grilled Octopus dressed with citrus, cherry tomato and cashew nut reduction topped with micro green gives you the best octopus you ever will have, and the charred outer layer and soft meat will melt in your mouth.
Bang Bang Shrimp is one of the most popular starters at The Avenue. Charred Jalapenos blended with sugar and fish sauce will take you to Mexico, or even Thailand. This is a memory you will never forget. Maybe it’s your first Valentine’s Day – But don’t feel shy to get your hands dirty 😉 – We offer finger bowls.
Poached heart shaped beets, crunch of green apple and walnuts is to show our appreciation of your love. The blend of chef’s handpicked market greens with honey djorn dressing will certainly set the stage for your partner, to hold your hand and softly kiss your cheek to say, “thank you my love”.
Sharing our main course will make you two feels more closer and will test your strength to take decisions together – It is not an easy task to pick one as all four mains are carefully curated to match the love in the air. It is most probably one of the hardest decisions you two will make.
New York Strip Black Angus Australian prime cut cooked to perfection by The Avenue chefs will be served with French style mushroom duxelle and truffle hand mash potatoes will take you and your lover to a 17th Century French townhouse and the homemade Flambé sauce will recreate King Edward VII’s Era. The melt-in-the-mouth Stake with the blended of flavors will keep this date your mind for rest of your life.
Mediterranean Stuffed Chicken with Couscous blend will dip you in the Moroccan sea. Sun kissed tomatoes, black olives, and slow roasted bell pepper with feta & mint wrapped up in chicken breast is so tender and juicy your eyes will close every time you take a bite.
You will feel like you are walking down the streets of Venice, if you order our Parmesan crusted Modha filet, blend of homemade panko and grated parmigiano reggiano with creamy polenta and collard greens. It will give you a taste of Mardi Grass.
The homemade fresh Mushroom ravioli with butternut squash purée with touch of basil oil will play the Tuscany music in your heart and this will be heavenly to our vegetarian lovers. This is our opportunity to show the love of our Italian inspired chef’s love, to you.
To wrap up this romantic evening, we bring you the Chocolate covered strawberry cheesecake and as soon as you lover takes the first bite – they will sing fly me to the moon, let me play among the stars.
