The Sits Yule LogSits Cakes And Desserts is one of the most consistently awesome home bakers in Colombo. This Christmas they’re doing Christmas Cake, Mince Pies, Yule Logs, Gourmet Hampers, etc.

The After Eight brownieThush’s Podi Brownie Business generally does one thing and does it well – brownies. True to form, they’re doing brownie’s this season. Kick Brownies (Rs. 1750), After Eight Brownies (Rs. 2,000), and Brownie Kebabs (Rs. 2,000), all for batches of 12.

Nandi’s
Nandi’s milk toffeesNanditha (who happens to be my aunt) does a nice range of milk toffees, available from ODEL, Barefoot, etc. This season she’s doing packaged boxes of milk toffees (regular, white chocolate, chocolate, etc) for Rs. 1,000 (ten pieces) and Rs. 1,500 (fifteen). Each one is delicious and lovely with a cup of hot tea.

Munchkin Christmas cupcakesMunchkin does awesome sweets and they have special Christmas stuff – Christmas cake with marzipan, Christmas cupcakes, macarons, fruit cake, date cake, etc.

Last but absolutely not least, the English Cake Company was a home baker that now has a bustling outlet on Sulaiman Terrace. For Christmas they’re doing their own take on Christmas Cake, plus big edible cookie trees, gingerbread men, gingerbread houses, fondant mice, etc.
