The Soup Bowl is a hospitality charity which serves the poor, the elderly and children living in homes. The Soup Bowl has three ongoing projects and here's how you can help even before attending the fundraiser gig.

Daily: WGSA or We Give Stuff Away is our surplus rescue and delivery arm. We rescue surplus vegetables, dry rations, canned items and fruits and deliver to economically challenged families. Families can be nominated by the general public, which means you can help out a needy family by nominating them to be beneficiaries of a bag of groceries. If you would like to volunteer, you can opt to drive them, any day of the work week at 9:30 PM to deliver the goods to families. This project incurs a cost of Rs 9300 per month.

Weekly: The Drop In centre of The Soup Bowl Centres provides a wholesome and nutritious meal to 125 + people who are economically challenged and live and/or work around the Kollupitiya Methodist church. This community includes the street cleaners, office cleaners from neighbouring buildings, the retired, those who hail from poverty-ridden homes, the elderly, street people – all are welcome at the table. This project incurs a cost of Rs. 33,875 per week.

Monthly: The Soup Bowl visits an elder's home or a children's home alternatively on a monthly basis. Last month The Soup Bowl charity visited the elders and the residents of the Leprosy Hospital. We had a lineup of fun events wrapped around a delicious home-cooked meal, followed closely by a giving of gifts. The cost incurred for the monthly visits changes from home to home according to numbers of people and requirement.

Tickets are priced at a very nominal price of Rs. 500. The funds raised will be utilised towards our daily project WGSA and our big projects in the future.
