Chapathi Man comes all the way from UK, and as the name implies, they make chapathi wraps paired with different fillings. They have only two variants at the moment – Chicken Tikka and Channa, and also Lankan-style biriyani if you feel like getting something more of a full meal.
The Verandah (Zylan Luxury Villa)
The Verandah is the newest addition to the ever so beautiful boutique hotel in Colombo 7 – Zylan Luxury Villa. They do a whole bunch of veg, seafood, chicken, and beef-centric dishes, which are not very heavy on the wallet. We absolutely enjoyed their Cheese Toast and the Spicy Prawn Pasta.
Shawarmaz @ GP
As the name suggests, Shawarmaz @ GP does shawarmas, and one of the best hummus dishes we've come across. Two can easily survive under Rs. 2000 here, so if you are broke, but still want to go out and eat this weekend, try this place out.
Eat Travel Repeat
The Marine Drive stretch is mushrooming with food trucks, and Eat Travel Repeat is one of them. Their speciality is kottu, and some excellent ones at that. You can adjust the creaminess, cheesiness and the spicy level of the kottu as you like. However, they don't have any seating space, so the only option available is takeaway.
