"A cafe lost among the hustle and bustle of Colombo," Sathkara truly lives up to their Instagram bio, and serves up some of the best local dishes that will make you drool. We had some fantastic Batticaloa Crab Curry here, and freshly made roast paan. Three succulent, fleshy crabs, soaked up in an aromatic, creamy gravy boasting with rich notes of spices, it's the best deal for just Rs. 1800.
BOND's take on CBP is one of the BEST we've had so far. It's all dark chocolate, so intense in terms of flavour, to the point that it hits all the right marks in our chocolate radar. This is something that you should not miss if you love CBP as much as we do. Right now, they do two kinds of CBP, Marzipan and Classic, which are offered in 200g and 120g jars.
This tiny cafe in Nugegoda is a good choice for some good coffee, but they also do a solid pork curry which you can pair up with pol roti. Everything they've got here is under Rs. 400, and what they deliver is beyond value for money.
Panini Picasso is known for their mouthful paninis, but our favourite was this Bacon-ised French Fries. However, if you love Nutella (umm, who doesn't?), we suggest getting the Nutella & Strawberry Panini.
Our boozy pick for the weekend is The Irish. The menu at The Irish doesn't necessarily boast with Irish-style dishes, but we can assure that their Fish & Chips is absolutely amazing. Plus, superb cocktails!
A cafe down Jawatta Road with good food, soothing vibes and all right coffee.
