Colombo Durgotsav Cultural Association (CDCA) is hosting the Durga Puja celebrations in a grand way this year.
Venue: The New Kathiresan Temple Hall, Galle Road, Bambalapitiya.
The worship and festivities will take place from october 15 till the 19th. The daily schedule for the colourful event will include Pujas (prayers) as well as a cultural performance and devotional songs every evening after the Arti.
Prasad offered to the goddess will be served to all who attend each evening.
MORNING ARTI : 7.30 am till 8:56 AM
EVENING ARTI : 6.30 PM
GUEST RECEPTION: 7 PM with 10 prominent religious groups including Maha Bodhi Society, Sai temple, ISKCON, Chinmaya Mission, Gurudwara, Sindhi Community, Tamil Sangham, Ramakrishna Mission, Sarada Mission and the Brahmakumaris.
Lighting the lamp followed by cultural performances including two items by the renown classical dancer Kalasuri Vasugy Jegadeeswaran and devotional songs (Bhajans).
