With Independence day falling in February, BookBees Colombo chose to focus on all things brave, inspiring and awesome with our first group of 9-10 year olds.
Moving from the realm of fiction to non-fiction, the kids will come prepared to discuss an article, booklet or book of their choice that is about a figure from history who they consider to be a hero.
But we also want to show them that heroes don't just live inside books! If we are lucky, we hope to have some modern day heroes paying a visit on the day! Fingers crossed!
For more, be at ‘Up,Up and Away’ – our first, February book club meeting on the 18th of February 2017 at the Independence Square Green from 3.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Or enroll your child to be a part of our next meeting for wide-eyed discussions, fun games and of course, snacks revolving around our most favourite thing in the world: books, of course.
