Decathlon Sri Lanka.

Decathlon Sri Lanka is a branch of the popular French sporting goods retailer, Decathlon Group. They offer up a sheer range of high-quality sportswear & sports equipment for a delightfully affordable price tag.

The Selection

From running and swimming materials to fitness and hiking equipment, Decathlon Sri Lanka covers a vast area of sporting goods. While they’re of very high quality, they optimize their prices regularly, to ensure that it’s accessible to every wallet.

Starting from Rs. 1600, their swimwear collection includes several designs and a good scale of sizes that fit from kids to adults. The swimming equipment and accessories section contain kickboards, hand paddles, snorkels, armbands, fins, pull buoys, duffle bags, microfibre towels, swimming caps, nose clips and even water resistant phone pouches.

They’ve got a good selection of swimming goggles, which belongs to Decathlon's own line of swimming materials, Nabaji. Their prices range from Rs. 300 – 2600.

The Hiking and Trekking collection has almost everything that you’d need to get geared up for some epic outdoor activity. It includes backpacks, bottles, clothing, shoes, caps, hats, tents, sleeping bags, as well as other hiking accessories like backpack straps, knives, air based pillows, head torches, rain covers, headbands, hiking socks and lamps.

Their hiking backpack selection is especially good, as the starting price is little as Rs. 550.

The price of adult running shoes varies from Rs. 2500 – 15000, which is comparatively lesser priced than the shoes you'd find in most of the sports shops at Majestic City. I can say the same thing about their bags, as I've seen some shops in Liberty Plaza selling the same bags for ridiculously higher prices.

They've also got some nice bunch of t-shirts, starting from Rs. 900 and comfortable shorts/trousers, ranging from Rs. 1150 – 2800. Aside from that, their Running section contains headbands, water bottles, smartphone armbands, as well as arm covers.

While they have a separate division just for badminton, they also provide accessories for table tennis, volleyball, basketball, football, rugby and even cycling.

The fitness equipment section at Decathlon Sri Lanka is pretty impressive. It includes gloves, shoes, yoga mats, push-up bars, hand grips, ab wheels, boxing wraps, weights, dumbbells, and of course, fitness clothing for men, women, and children.

Service and Ambience

Everything here is neatly organized and categorized, so you can find what you are looking for, without any hassle. The staff here is well-trained, very attentive, friendly and inviting. They’re more than happy to answer your questions regarding the sporting goods and assist you with any clarification you may have.

Overall

I’ve been a customer of Decathlon Sri Lanka for quite a while now and never have I been disappointed. Some of their stocks don't last long, due to popular demand, but they always make sure to restock as soon as possible.

They also update their website regularly, so you can always go through that to find out what they have to offer, its availability and other relevant details.
