Emerald is a good spot for (men’s) office shirts, polos and the likes. You’ve probably seen their billboards with the likes of Sanga and Mahela featured on them (they’re pretty hard to miss). We dropped in at their store in Bamba to see what they had on offer.
Being an Emerald store it’s no surprise that the menswear on offer is almost entirely dominated by their own products, but they do have smaller selections from the likes of Van Heusen and Leonardo. While their office range is very extensive, their casual range is limited to polo t-shirts from Crocodile and a few options from their own line.
As you would expect from a local brand, the pricing on their Emerald products is affordable with shirts being priced between Rs. 1200 to Rs. 3000 and trousers between Rs. 2000 – Rs. 4000.
While their casual range is limited, they’ve still got a bit of variety in there. The polo t-shirts are priced between Rs. 1800 – Rs. 3000, which is not too bad all things considered.
One thing we appreciated was that they had a great selection of plain coloured ties. So often I’ve gone from shop to shop in fruitless searches for a simple tie only to be disappointing. Besides that they’ve also got a great range of leather belts (sans the gaudy buckles) to choose from as well.
The Emerald store is a one-stop shop for men’s office wear. We’d still like to see their casual selection improve, but for men’s polos, shirts and pants they’ve got you covered. They’ve got a staff that will help you pick out whatever style you need from their impressive selection, so you won’t be leaving disappointed.
