Aesthetic leaves hanging from the roofs add a touch of natural elegance, making diners feel as if they’re enjoying Italian cuisine under a canopy of greenery.
The starters at Penne Italian Restaurant were a tantalizing start to our meal. The Garlic Bread with Cheese and Kochchi was a unique and flavorful twist, combining the familiar comfort of garlic bread with a spicy Sri Lankan kick. The Chicken Wings were perfectly seasoned and had a delightful crunch, leaving us craving for more.
Moving on to the mains, the Spaghetti Bolognese with Chicken proved to be a delightful selection, seamlessly blending the essence of Italian cuisine with local spicy flavors.
We had to try a creamy , cheesy pasta on behalf of our readers which is why we decided to try the Creamy Prawn Pasta from the menu. The dish was a combination of succulent prawns with a rich and velvety garlic and cheesy sauce. This pasta dish was pleasant, however was one of the less flavorful pastas we tried that night.
For those seeking a healthier yet flavor-packed choice, the Pesto Chicken Pasta delivered a burst of freshness with its herbal notes.
And let’s not forget the fiery sensation of the Spicy Calamari Pizza, a zesty seafood masterpiece that truly stole the show.
The drinks menu added a refreshing touch to the meal. The milkshakes were thick and satisfying, with the Strawberry Cheesecake Milkshake being a sweet standout. The mocktails, including the Blackcurrant and Mango options, were a refreshing and non-alcoholic way to complement the flavorful dishes.
In summary, Penne Italian Restaurant’s diverse menu showcased a fusion of flavors that satisfied a range of palates. The starters and mains were well-executed, and the drinks and mocktails provided a refreshing balance to the meal. It’s a culinary experience that combines Italian classics with a touch of Sri Lankan, making it a must-visit for those seeking an exciting and memorable dining experience.
