Being a vegetarian and craving a burger is not an easy thing. It's so hard to find a decent place that serves a legit veggie burger that you can indulge just as good as a meat burger. Of course, there's always a vegetarian option but most of the time they're just a sad excuse for these places to show that they're "accommodating". Anyway, here are the top 5 places where you can get a delicious, juicy veggie burger to satisfy your taste buds.
The Veggie Burger (Rs. 750) here is hands down the best one I have had. It's massive with a fried egg, a huge soya patty, lots of melted cheese, a few jalapenos, tomatoes and salad leaves. While the bun itself is very soft and inviting, the patty is big, juicy and delicious. Even the meat lovers would not mind giving it a try.
This place is a vegan/vegetarians' heaven! Everything here is 100% vegan and they have an amazing range of burgers. The best one, however, is The Dinklage burger (Rs. 599) which comes with a hefty, 'meaty' patty that's supposed to be a substitute for chicken. It's nice and grilled and comes coated in a delicious barbecue sauce, and the usual onions, tomatoes and lettuce. I do want to say that these substitutes, although vegan, taste way too close to the real thing so it might feel a little odd when you eat it, because it certainly did to me.
The Veggie Burger (Rs. 300) at LeeSH is another great choice. It has a soft bun, with a tinge of sweetness, and grilled to perfection. The veggies are always fresh and the patty, although quite thin, is actually very flavorful.
The Top Bun (Rs. 850) at Cafe Sociale is a vegetarian burger with a hefty paneer patty, chunky potato wedges, and a side salad. The bun is decent with an excellent paneer patty, which is perfectly cooked and seasoned well. They do not skimp on the veggies either. It comes with chunky fries and a delicious side salad which makes it to an all-around filling and delicious meal.
The Veggie Burger (Rs. 280) here is magnificent! It is delicious with a huge patty topped with melted cheese and ketchup, sitting on a few salad leaves and onions. The patty is made up of potato and carrots which makes it very filling. It is tucked in between a soft, grilled bun that has a slight sweetness to it.
So there you go! These places are guaranteed to serve you some delicious burgers that no animal had to suffer to make. Happy eating!
