After craving Nando’s for a long time, decided to try their Sri Lankan doppelgänger Peri Peri Kukula. Their hummus is great. But sadly they were served with some cloth like soggy store bought tortillas instead of the mentioned pita bread. Their garlic bread was great and so was the deliciously buttered corn on the cob. The chicken I had was juicy and succulent with adequate seasoning.
The biggest let down was the lack of space and hygiene at this place. They could be forgiven for the lack of space given that real estate in such areas of Colombo is expensive, but bad hygiene puts off customers. What I’d like to specifically point out was that the guy serving food was also the cashier handling cash. He had no gloves on and had very visible marks of some sort of skin disease all over his hands. A look at his hands and the whole food turned unappetising.
If you guys are listening, please give the guy some opaque gloves or a medical leave till he recovers since y’all ain’t gonna recover of many of your customers see his hands while serving food.
