Scoop is a little ice cream shop located in Thimbirigasaya that sells a range of ice cream and dessert. It isn't great.
Oh dear, where to begin with this one. It isn't very good. The ice cream, service and location are all pretty poor.
The Ice Cream
The ice cream trays were empty, with nothing but the labels on, so you can't see what you're getting or ask for a sample.
We tried the chocolate chip and blueberry flavours. They were both artificial tasting and not particularly exciting. The ice cream was quite hard and had little icicles wedged in. It's average tasting stuff, kind of like what you'd get from Elephant House or Cargills, except not as good consistency wise.
The waffle cup was okay. Costs Rs. 150 for a cup.
Scoop also offers cupcakes and gloopy looking desserts in plastic containers, neither of which we ventured to try.
The staff are slow and devoid of any charm. They don't make you feel particularly welcome and it took a lot of fumbling to sort out two scoops of ice cream.
The place is new so maybe things will improve with time. However, we can't say we'd recommend it for now.
