Shirohana is an upscale flower shop with many branches. The Romantica is a small, elegant outlet on Dickman’s Road.
Valentine’s Day is coming up. You’ll (at the least) need flowers. Shirohana is an upscale outlet which has probably the most branches around Colombo. The Shirohana Romantica covers Havelock Town and the Colombo 5 area pretty good. Besides that your closest bet is Blooms on High Level Road near Nugegoda or their other outlet on Alfred House.
Quality
Shirohana has good flowers. We got a solid bunch for Rs. 1,600 which was next to another seemingly identical one which went for Rs. 2,000 plus. Shirohana is an upscale florist which means they have fresh flowers, arranged and packaged nicely and priced at a premium. Their premade bundles are not insanely large like many other shops, which is a good thing.
Location
If you’re in a hurry (as flowers are often bought) location is key. Shirohana is ideally situated for anyone in Havelock Town or on that way out of the city. And there’s parking on the street besides.
Service
The staff are nice and don’t take forever wrapping or packaging the flowers, which is a bonus.
Conclusion
If you’re in the Colombo 4/5 region, this is the best florist around.
