Skoops serves up homemade ice cream and is fairly priced.
The scoops at Skoops are categorised under Primary, Signature and Premium. You can simply get them as scoops, or as ice cream sandwiches, and even as milkshakes.
The Fruit & Nut (Rs. 200) had a lot of fruits in it, but not a lot of nuts. Nonetheless, it was tasty. The texture was hella creamy, milky and all in all, rich.
The Passion fruit (Rs. 300) was our favourite out of the lot. With actual bits of passion fruit embedded in its luscious texture, it tasted quite natural.
Priced at Rs. 200 per scoop, the Choco fell short of impressing us. The texture was excellent as the rest, but the chocolaty note was almost non-existent.
At Skoops, you can get a brownie with a scoop of your pick. We opted for the Butterscotch (Rs. 350).
Leaning towards the sweet side, the butterscotch kick here was quite mild. The brownie, however, was chocolaty, but unfortunately, had a very dense texture.
Aside from milkshakes, Skoops also serves hot lattes. However, the coffee maker was broken on the day we visited, hence we had to settle for a Milo Milkshake (Rs. 450). While the drink was refreshing, it certainly could use a bit more Milo in it.
It's a tiny, air-conditioned space with simple wooden furniture. The guy manning the counter was super helpful, happily made recommendations and did let us try a bunch of flavours before purchasing.
All in all, Skoops is all right. Certain flavours can improve, but they're not too unfair on the pocket.
