The YAMU office is a big A/Ced room full of reasonably nice, kind of weird people. The food appears almost once a week and the ambience is interesting.
The office is quite large, just one big open space, with comfy colourful sofas on one end, a lunch table at the other and office tables in the middle. There's plenty of sunlight and random cool stuff like a toy helicopter and a tuk tuk themed card game.
The seating is good for the most part, but the seat we got on our visit totally sucked and hopefully they take care of that. There are two balconies to chill out at and look at the sky or at traffic - there is a chance you might stumble upon an obsessive-compulsive window cleaner who has been out here for hours or someone from the the office holding a plate of food in the sunlight for a good Instagram.
Service & Ambience
Food arrives at least once a week at the lunch table and it is usually good, especially the cakes. It's a self-service kind of place. Occasionally you find food in the fridge also, or at least expired beer. The place is usually very quiet so it's peaceful, except for the occasional exclamation made about a mean online comment or an awesome episode of Spongebob.
Sometimes people here do really weird things. Is that a good thing? Well, it's an acquired taste.
Merc be like 'yall can't handle my swag'
The YAMU office is a nice place to stop by, especially if there is food. Although it was of greater standard when the official security officer Merc manned the place, and we doubt it can ever return to that standard of security again, it is still quite alright.
