This company does guided tours (http://www.mylittleisland.lk/index.php/sri-pada). I haven't done Adam's Peak but called a friend (Boycy) who did. Do check out his magazine, The Sri Lankan (http://www.thesrilankan.net/), they had a good feature on the peak.

'You can stay but it's really cold. You need to go early (10 or 11 PM), there's a big public hall. You need a ground sheet (like a wax paper), bed sheet, and covering sheet. There are basic toilet facilities, sometimes hot water. If you go down the Ratnapura side there's a bigger resting hall. Going up through Hatton and coming down thru Ratnapura is interesting.

Avoid weekends and poya days.'

Good luck. Pack warm
