Deepal cat feeding

Does anyone know him? If so can you please ask him what he feeds the cats. I am looking after 4 strays and one is pregnant. Canned fish is very expensive. Thanks// VIDEO ADDED BY YAMU

Interesting question. I assume you're referring to this Deepal:

In the video he says he mixes 10 kilos of fish with rice. That's for tens of animals. He said the mixing is important and takes a lot of time. Canned fish is very expensive, but you can get fresh fish cheaper, or even talk to a grocery and get what's left over.

Hey, no idea about Deepal but when I have 5 cats I used to boil a few saalayo then mash them up with a fork, and mix them with cooked rice for their meals. Leave the fish boiled water in, it makes for a nice soupy mix! Cheaper than buying tinned fish.
PS: my current cats prefer soaked bread to rice (they throw up the rice), but previous litters were fine with rice!

Hi,

Deepal now feeds the cats and dogs a mixture of rice and boiled chicken (sold as pet food by farms like Maxies). He also gives them plain boiled "katu masso" (aka disco fish) separately which he buys from the market in Colombo in bulk. It is available at some supermarkets in suburbs as well. For cats, he recommends mixing rice and disco fish because they are easy to cook and inexpensive.

Thanks so so much everyone for the responses and Yamu for facilitating the responses. I have tried adding rice to salaya's but it hasn't worked. I suppose as Deepal says the trick is in the mixing and as Yazblu says leaving the fish water in will help. Going to try again!!
