What are some good alternatives to Quickee food delivery? What has your experience been?

My main issue with Quickee is the ridiculous cost. Like for 1 person to order something small and have it delivered, is pointless. For example if you buy a food item for Rs. 250 then they charge you a delivery fee of Rs. 250 (where I live) and another Rs. 100 because you are spending less than Rs. 1000! So for a food item that costs Rs. 250, I will end up spending Rs. 600 which is a joke! For that price, I could hire a tuk tuk on PickMe, go to the place, get the food and come home and still save money! They shouldn't be charging Rs. 100 just because you spent less than Rs. 1000! If they can't make the service profitable at all price levels, then I don't see why we should have to pay a "tax" for that! Delivery should also be a fixed smaller fee. It seems the service is only worth it if you order large amounts or spend large amounts.

I want to know from people who have tried other services what your experience has been? What are the costs, reliability etc like?

I've seen a lot of their bikes arounds! They must be doing something right. Are they delivering all over Colombo or is it restricted to a certain area? Also what is their delivery fee? Is it fixed or based on how much you spend?

It’s restricted to the more centralized area of Colombo and not the outskirts and the costs are pretty reasonable, much more than quicker I can guarantee you that. Download the app and let me know what you think.

Do they not offer cash on delivery as a checkout option? It seems I can't place an order without adding a credit/debit card :(

UberEats is fantastic and no delivery fee or extra charges. There's a wide range of restaurants to choose from.

PickMe Food is good too, also no extra charges. It's a bit more limited in area covered, and the app is less user-friendly but nothing too major.

Was happy to see Uber Eats has no delivery charge and has a good range of restaurants. Sadly PickMe food cuts their area about 50m from where I live so can't try them out. Wish they would hurry up and expand!
