Beef Bone Curry

Difficulty rating 3/5 Serves 3 Takes 00:30

Don't throw the beef bones away. Make this delicious curry that's packed with flavour.

  • cup of Oil
  • stick of Cinnamon
  • pods of Cardamom
  • g of Tomato
  • Green Chillies
  • g of Onions
  • g of Curry Leaves
  • g of Beef Breast and Marrow Bone
  • g of Potatoes
  • cup of Water
  • tsp of Chilli Powder
  • tsp of Turmeric Powder
  • tsp of Salt
  • tsp of Cumin Seeds
  • cup of Coconut Cream
  • g of Mint Leaves
  • Lime

  • 1 Frying Pan
  • 1 Pressure Cooker

  • In a pressure cooker on medium heat, add oil (3/4) and then cinnamon, cardamom, tomatoes (diced), onions (chopped), green chillies (sliced), and curry leaves. Mix well till onions are translucent.
  • Add in beef bones, potatoes (cubed), and water. Let it sit for about a minute.
  • Spice time! add in chilli powder, turmeric, and salt. Mix well till spices are evenly spread.
  • Close lid for 6 whistles.
  • In a frying pan on medium heat, add remaining oil and cumin seeds. Mix for a minute and add beef bone curry (careful of splash). Mix well again.
  • Add in coconut cream and stir to incorporate. Add mint leaves and squeeze lime into curry.

Each spice and quantity has been carefully measured for maximum flavour... in other words, we wouldn't change a thing! Careful not to leave it on for 7 or more whistles though!
