Komé Meatballs

  • Komé is Munchee's newest addition to their range of biscuits. Light and airy, these make a tasty and healthy snack. At the YAMU cook labs, we decided to whip up these spectacular meatballs and substitute bread crumbs with crushed Komé crackers.

Difficulty rating 3/5 Serves 2 Takes 00:30

Make your own meatballs at home! Switch up your breadcrumbs with crushed crackers for extra flavour.

  • g of Komé Biscuits (Komé Biscuits)
  • g of Minced Beef
  • Egg
  • Tbsp of Chopped Parsley
  • Tsp of oregano
  • Tsp of Salt
  • Tsp of Pepper
  • g of Mozzarella Cheese

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Frying Pan

  • First off, you'll have to blend your crackers. Put them in the processor and blitz them up until they turn into a bread-crumb like consistency.
  • To your bowl, add the minced beef, parsley, oregano, salt, pepper, egg and the crushed Komé crackers.
  • Use your hands to mix all these ingredients until they're fully incorporated.
  • Pick up little portions of the minced meat mix and flatten them with your palms like little pancakes. Place a cube of Mozzarella cheese in the middle, and mould into a meatball. Repeat until you're all out of meat and cheese.
  • Fry in oil until it's cooked through. Careful though- don't over-fry because that'll make the cheese ooze out and you'll be left with a sad heap of meat and cheese.
  • Serve however you like. Send us a picture.

Do NOT over-stuff with cheese. If you do, this will make the cheese ooze out of the meatballs, and they won't hold together when you're frying them. All in moderation!
