It’s Wednesday, which means it’s Ladies Night at certain clubs and bars across the city. Wednesdays are pretty popular ‘going out’ nights and some of our bars have surprisingly good deals (although some of them are on Thursday). We called a few places to find out where you can get yourself a few free drinks – the safe way.
The Totally Free Route. If You’re A Woman
Wednesday
If you don’t want to pay anything at all, here’s how to do it. Start your Wednesday night off with a free meal at O! Bar – just wear your hem above your knee and get any item of food off the menu sans charge (men included – although call ahead to check if this promotion is on, since this doesn’t happen every Wednesday). Then head over to Skky bar and persuade one of your friends to buy a drink (buy get one free for ladies) – you snag the free one. Finally wind up at Kama, where there’s free champagne flowing all night. We don’t really like this club, but if you’re broke and want some booze it might be worth it. Actually, probably not.
Thursday
Thursdays offer the classier free drinks option. Start off at the beautiful and bizarre wonderland that is Casa Colombo, where ladies get a free drink if dressed in one of the ‘Zaza colours’ (mentioned below) or a large free bowl of cocktail if arriving in a group of five, all dressed in the same colour. Then head over to the elegant lakeside bar, 7 Degrees North, where ladies receive a complimentary beverage on arrival (and 25% off total bevvy bill thereafter). These are two very bars, and their promotions aren’t in the least bit sleazy. Good route, we recommend this one.

On Wednesdays ladies get half price on all drinks between 8pm and 1am.

It’s pays to be a lady on a Thursday at Zaza bar. If you’re wearing one of the ‘Zaza colours’ (ie. orange, yellow, green or hot pink) you get a free drink. If you’re in a group of five girls and you’re all wearing the same colour, you get a big bowl of free cocktail. There’s also 50% of on all drinks between 7pm and 10pm.

O! Bar doesn’t really have a ladies night per se, but they have their Hem Above The Knee promotion some Wednesdays (call ahead to check) – which is pretty much exactly what it says. Both men and women can have an item of food off the menu for free if they’re hemline reaches above the knee.

This seems like a pretty great deal – ladies get free champagne throughout the night on Wednesdays. Wow. What’s the catch? Well, you’d be at Kama.

They don’t have a ladies night at the moment, but apparently will soon. However, the bartenders offer out free shots to ladies intermittently throughout the night – only downside is you have to stand against the bar and tilt your back for the bartender to pour it in – not so classy.

Again they don’t have a ladies night, but you get (almost) any drink for just Rs. 250 on Mondays.

Amuseum, suprisingly, doesn’t seem to have a Ladies’ Night.
