Upscaling to the Golden Child: The UYAMU Edition.

To those of you who aren't aware yet – Mother's Day is on Sunday. Yes, you may panic now.

Mothers Day is the toughest day to be the 'Useless Child'. As a fellow useless child, I know that not only are you expected to make your Mother's Day much better than the day before but, your uselessness is going to be accentuated by every aunty who meets your mother. Because, you will be compared to their golden children who not only achieved everything in school but also got them flowers before church.

That being said, making Mother's Day more special than any other day can be a bit tough. But, we've got your back! There's no better way to upscale yourself to the Golden Child than cooking for your mom. And whose mother doesn't have a giant sweet tooth?

Here are 12 desserts for precisely that purpose.

1. Blueberry Cheesecake

Blueberry cheesecake, we admit, is a bit of work. But, the final product is, you have to admit, pretty awesome.

2. Hawaiian Cheesecake

If you can't find blueberries, this is a pretty solid way to go. Coconutty and beautifully rich, it's as close to blueberry cheesecake as it gets.

3. Chocolate Biscuit Pudding

Okay, now this is a lot of work. But, the point is, not only does everyone love CBP but, they also know just how much work it is. Which, naturally adds to the Amma Points scoreboard.

4. Peanut Butter Fudge Pie

While it isn't necessarily the cheapest to make on the list and it's essentially more cheesecake than "pie", the peanut butter fudge pie is not too difficult to get done and is definitely worth giving a shot at.

5. Strawberry Trifle

If you're looking for quirky, cute and reeking major Pinterest vibes, we suggest going with this.

6. Chocolate Cake

Ayy. You cannot go wrong with this. Bake it the night before and carry it to her bed when she wakes up, we say.

7. Sugar-Free Chocolate and Almond Cookies

If your mother has a giant sweet tooth but can't necessarily eat sweets, we suggest making this. We guarantee that she'll love it.

8. Carrot Cake

As horrendous as it sounds, carrot cake is actually quite nice.

9. Chocolate Custard Pudding

Sweet, gooey and absolutely chocolatey, the chocolate custard pudding is perfect for mothers who like chocolate and custard.

10. Apple pie

Ayy! One of the hardest on the list to mess up, apple pie is the way.to.go. Combine it with some vanilla ice cream and dusted cinnamon. We guarantee instant praise.

12. Sansa's Lemon Cakes

Since it is Game of Thrones season and practically everyone's watching it. Make these to drown your sorrows in. It being Mothers Day is just an added bonus.

12. Chocolate Marshmellow Mousse

If you're a dunce in the kitchen, we present the easiest on the list. But, don't worry. It has the word mousse in it, they're all going to marvel at how you went from melting the kettle to making a mousse.

If all else fails and you're stuck with a charcoal black pan, plumes of smoke everywhere and not much else, we suggest ordering in. It's Mother's Day. You either go big or finally leave the house and live alone.

Thus we end UYAMU edition on how to be the golden child.
