Coffee Club
Coffee Club is a new cafe down Fife Road, replacing Bellissimo. With an interesting range of burgers and a superb Mocha, it's one of those places that you can get some work done, while having a snack. Quite appropriate for a casual coffee date too.
El Janah
El Janah in Mount Lavinia has a menu that takes inspiration from Italy, America, the Middle East, Thailand, Australia and of course, Sri Lanka. If you are in the area and in need of a decent meal, this is a valid option. Try their Chocolate Mousse, it's quite good.
Grand Slam By Mitsi
Grand Slam By Mitsi is the latest venture by Mitsi's. Crafting up some brilliant Italian delicacies, you'd love it here. Their range of thin-crust pizza is cooked from a clay oven and features tons of toppings. We absolutely enjoyed our Lamb Sausage pizza and the Carbonara. Make sure you pair it with a glass of Lion beer – they have it too.
1979
1979 is no stranger to those of you who live around Boralesgamuwa. And did you know, that they do a solid HBC? Massive rings of cuttlefish encased in a thin batter coating with the perfect crisp, and spiced to high heaven – this one can make you cry. Plus, they are BYOB. Yay!
Malaysian Way Restaurant
Probably not the most authentic Malaysian restaurant in town, but this place has a decent Beef Noodle Soup. If you're around Racecourse, try it out.
Tea Lounge (Cinnamon Grand)
After all that tragedy that unfolded, Cinnamon Grand is back in the game, and we are glad! Their Tea Lounge is one of the best and affordable places in town if you're up for a chat with your loved ones while sipping a cuppa tea. With high-security measures, Cinnamon Grand makes sure that you're safe and sound throughout the whole time you spend there.
