Hi guys! This question doesn't have much to do with food, but I was curious to see if anyone knew much about the film production process in Sri Lanka. Here are my main questions, but I'd appreciate any insight on the subject: 1. Are the majority of films produced by TV stations/channels, or are there production companies in Sri Lanka? If so, what are the most popular ones? 2. Who are some notable television drama screenwriters and directors? (or are most dramas completely written by tv station staff?) 3. Continuing with the previous question, where do most TV channels or production companies get their scripts? For instance, in the U.S. most screenwriters pitch their scripts to studios such as Warner Brothers, 20th Century Fox, etc, and a lucky few are chosen and their writing is put into production. What is this "script/story scouting" process like in Sri Lanka? 4. Is there an audition process for actors; how do they scout members for the cast? 5.
